I may have lost it but I think my GF did. Im ordering a new one just in case, I have blades for it... is there a way I could just use the blades to transfer agar to grains or what should I do? I have thin wire, maby I could tie a blade to a screwdriver or something lol.... thoughts?

A butter knife you don't mind destroying. Iv used a few different things, as long as its metal and you can heat up with a torch. I used a black head extractor for a while it was like a tiny little spoon that you could scoop up the transfer and easily drop it to the new plate. You don't have a vet supply store nearby, they will have scalpels, syringes, needles alot of things you would use for transfer stuff.

That spoon thing is intriguing. I sometimes have my agar get stuck, ive even dropped a piece on the floor before. I didnt even think of getting an x acto knife like the above poster mentioned. I really liked my knife that holds the #2 blades. Can pressure cool the handle itself too.
Im going to look into the spoon thing some, interesting.

think the ones I made will work? Just waiting on a flush (soon), to start playing with agar.

Not trying to hijack op, but starting a new thread seems dumb just to ask this question.

That’s bad ass. Yes thatll work, you’ll have to open the top open pretty far to get that In their though. You know what I mean? No biggie tho, when I do agar transfers I take the top completely off and keep it off.

Hmm. I can easily grind down the top to make a thinner profile. I didn't consider that, TY!

I cut some razor blades in half (that work paid for), and used some round scrap as a handle. So there's potential to modify and I paid nothing. I'm cheap lol

All I needed to know, should have something worth cloning within the week. 3 shoeboxes are knotting or beyond today. But I'd hate to do something stupid.
My bacterial af first box has more pins coming up after I harvested a dry 1/4 oz last week too. So material should be in ample supply.
