Brown growth on caps
    #26798002 - 07/01/20 10:33 PM (3 years, 6 months ago)

I'm wondering what causes this growth on the caps of some of the mushrooms. These are B+ but it has happened on my GTs as well. I'm assuming they are still safe to consume.

Are they still growing, or did they abort?  I'd guess they are still edible either way, but if they've aborted, you need to dig a little deeper as to why.

So they did continue to grow, however they have only gotten about 3-4 inches high and are already opening the veils. I'm attaching more pictures. They show the growth I'm experiencing. Also, some mushrooms are splitting and turning greenish, It looks like shrooms are trying to grow directly underneath each other, I'm not too sure.
I'm mostly concerned about all the growth on the caps, and the fact that they are staying short and chubby. B+ strain from MS. I have agar going that I plan to use in the future, but this is MS genetics at play I suppose.

Those are pretty common in gt and b+ for some reason.

I don’t think I’ve ever had a gt grow without something weird growing on a few caps.

Can anyone speak to the stubbiness?
