The most resilient/favorable strain (poll changed to your favorite variety)
    #26797661 - 07/01/20 07:36 PM (3 years, 9 months ago)

Is there such as thing? Theoretically if you are working from an isolate and all variables remain the same, are there varieties that are faster colonizers, prone to less contam and have higher yields? (potency gram per gram is generally the same i take it from most answers).

I know this question has been posed in different ways many times already and most people just say "cubes are cubes, just pick one", but I cant believe that is totally accurate. Please enlighten me

Poll changed to your favorite variety and why? (ie. bigger yields, more than 3 flushes, the "trip", etc.) everyone please vote on their variety of choice. I know in my area GTs are number 1 for some reason. I would like to intro other varieties such as KSSS, blue meanies, Cambodian etc. What is important is retail appeal. GTs tend to be bigger and would like medium/smaller varieties.
Most resilient variety
You may choose only one

It all depends on genetics. Everyone of those variations will have a mixed batch when grown from multispore.

Don’t worry about resistance to contams etc. It’s not even a thing; in principle it would be smarter to try and engineer trich resistant grain than it would be to make mold eating cubes.

Roger Rabbit, where u at man?!

As mentioned, no cube strain is more resistent to molds/bacteria than other strains, so just pick a strain that sounds interesting and grow that.

My current favorite is African Transkeis, lots of fruits and they are potent too!

someone on here was posting his/her progress every night for almost a week about African Transkeis, so I google'd it... seems it is a consistently 'peaceful' but powerful trip.

I am very familiar with all the terpenes and terpenoids in weed that gives each strain its character, but now that someone brought it up I am curious- What other compounds or chemicals do different varieties of cubes have that gives a trip its character?  Or to be correct, what does any strain (meaning from each germinated spore) have different from one another of these compounds besides psylocin and psylocybin?

I've been having fun following the natalensis thread. I've seen folks pushing 7 flushes and some incredibly aggressive myc. Hoping to get my hands on a print soon.

Id like to get an idea of what people's fav variety is out of pure curiosity and why they chose it? Thanks!

I must say golden halos are one of my favorite cube variety. I can remember a few different batches being way more potent than usual. 2g was sending people into the spirit world, including me. Might have been the luck of the draw though.

RW and APE. To hell with the rest. Though with melmak on my horizon maybe I'll change my ways a bit, we'll see.
