Some of you guys are going to die of stress before the COVID ever gets into you. Take a step back from media and live a little. This is really a damper on the immune system if you let it. I was the same way when it started to pop up in other countries besides China.

my coworker's roommate had covid, so he had to stay away from work for a couple weeks (and isolate from his roommate and other people) until he tested negative to make sure it didn't jump to him. thankfully it hadn't.
that said, the upper peninsula has only had a very small handful of cases compared to the rest of michigan... but now the warm season has started, i fear this won't stay the case because i'm seeing a lot of those idiots showing up at our store and they are NOT wearing masks like most of the natives are. =.=

Wait till the real shit hits the fan, Flu + Covid19 at the same time. Getting my flu shot through work, they purchased doses just for employees (essential workers) but shits gonna be rough in the states for the foreseeable future. Guess it wasn't a Democratic Hoax after all. Guess opening up at the peak of the curve was a bad move. Guess the memorial day crowds shoulda been more careful. And while I support the protests, to the point I feel the risk of the virus was less than the need to protest, that chicken's gonna home to roost too and pretty soon. Good luck out there and stay safe, don't give in to complacency regarding basic thinks like clean masks, social distancing, hand washing and face touching.

Testing site here in Houston
Jesus christ. How has the department of public health not shut that down? Around here most of the public testing is done via drive-thrus now. I guess when you have that kind of volume though there aren't many options... could at least space things out though.
I was picking up some meds at a CVS drive thru yesterday and the guy in front of me was getting swabbed.

New York county issues subpoenas to people refusing to talk to contact tracers
"Officials in New York’s Rockland County said Wednesday they are being forced to issue subpoenas to compel people to speak to contact tracers about a coronavirus outbreak because they are not speaking voluntarily.
The country’s health commissioner, Patricia Rupert, said at a news conference that subpoenas are being issued to eight people who were infected at a recent party in Clarkstown, N.Y., north of New York City, but who are refusing to cooperate with contact tracers seeking to interview them to determine who else they were in contact with and could be at risk of spreading the virus.
The drastic step of issuing subpoenas in a contact-tracing investigation illustrates a problem officials have cited around the country, that many people are not answering their phones or cooperating when contact tracers try to talk to them..." https://thehill.com/policy/healthcare/505437-new-york-county-issues-subpoenas-to-people-refusing-to-talk-to-contact

Meanwhile over in Pa.,
Pennsylvania issues order requiring people to wear masks in public
"Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf (D) signed a new order Wednesday mandating that people in the state wear masks anywhere in public, ramping up his past guidance regarding face coverings.
The order, signed Wednesday, takes effect immediately and builds on past guidance requiring people to wear masks inside businesses. The move comes amid a rising number of coronavirus cases in the Keystone State.
“This mask-wearing order is essential to stopping the recent increase in COVID-19 cases we have seen in Pennsylvania,” Wolf said in a statement..." https://thehill.com/homenews/state-watch/505494-pennsylvania-issues-order-requiring-people-to-wear-masks-in-public?utm_source=thehill&utm_medium=widgets&utm_campaign=es_recommended_content
