I found these this morning. It rained yesterday



Habitat: Long Island NY
Where does it grow? Eg. woods, pasture, state, province, country, altitude, etc. What does it grow on? Eg. soil, dung, wood (dead, living, what kind of wood?), etc.

Gills: White on some. Brown oh others
Color, attached/not, gills/pores, etc.

Stem: Thin soft
Length, diameter, color, texture, hollow/solid, thin/thick, etc.

Cap: conical
Diameter, color, texture, conical/spherical, convex/concave, etc.

Spore print color:
Very important!

Bruising: none
Color that the mushroom bruises, if any.

Other information:
Scent of the mushroom, anything else you think is important, large close-up pictures showing stem, cap and gills.

Conocybe apala. Poisonous.
And possibly panaeolus cinctulus.

Thank you for your reply. I’m hoping my dog didn’t eat one. He was acting strange and slightly aggressive but has since stopped and is back to his friendly playful self. I went thru my whole lawn and pocket all I found, I will look every morning.

Animals handle mycotoxins usually pretty well. Those conocybe contain so little that your dog would have to eat an awful lot to get sick.
