Wut up all. Noob here. I have a question I hope anyone can answer. I have 2 jars that look way different than the others. It doesn't look like a mold i saw in the literature that came with my kit. Any advice or knowledge would be much appreciated.

This thread was moved from The Pub.
Reason: Looks like Trich to me. Also belongs in Mush Cult.

also when a jar is fully enveloped is it OK to birth it for fruiting chamber whenever they are ready or should I wait for the last one to do it all in 1 go. I have such a gap in maturity and im afraid I will fuck it up. Im quite proud for getting to this stage with 12 jars. 10 if trich is indeed bad

Hes refering to a mold called Trichoderma. It's a common house mold that unfortunately is the grim reaper of a mushroom grow. Green jars should be thrown out.

When trich shows up in a grain jar, that means it is toast. If trich shows up in a bulk substrate, if pinheads are moving along, you might get a harvest. BUT, a haealthy tub will not show any mean green until your very last flush -what I maean is towards the very end of your grow after you harvested all or most of the good stuff.
The earlier trich shows up in a grow -the worst effects yer gonna have on yer grow. Really you don't want ANY trich anywhere ever, but we don't live in a perfect world. Even a pro mushy lab is only kinda perfect.
If you are going to do a 'jar grow', don't wait for any jars to catch up. If the jar is all solid white, put it in an environment where it will get some air/gas exchange without drying out and you should be all rock 'n roll.

Yup, that green beast is a real pain. If you run into a grower who says he has never had trich than he's probs just a poser who wishes he was a grower. Trich is everywhere in our environment.

Omg op has the shortest fuse, who gets lit with plain ignorance. OP in this forum we are nice to eachother. Even when disagreeing we keep it civil. But what I dont understand is that before his std insult, he mentioned trich himself and seemed to know what that means. Im so confused here.

To be fair, i looked up Trich using a search engine (Bing) and the first thing that came up was "Trichomoniasis": https://www.webmd.com/sexual-conditions/guide/trichomoniasis
So OK, it is a STD after all (one Ive never heard of). However, if OP searched on the Shroomery, it would have been obvious that Trich is also a name for Trichoderma, a common green mold.
In conclusion, Trich is a term for both an vaginal STD and a common Mold found on Mushroom Substrates. Go figure
