If BLM actually addressed the actual disparity of policing that is based on economic status, not race, you'd have a valid point.
BLM wants to make it just a black and white issue, that's why the movement isn't making any effective change.
I honestly don't know what you are getting at. Is it that black Americans are disproportionately poorer than white Americans? If so, sounds like a case of racism to me.
The point is obvious, poor Americans regardless of race are disproportionately on the shitty end of interactions with the police.
BLM doesn't want to acknowledge that poor Hispanics, Asians and whites also suffer from this abusive law enforcement, unjust laws and corrupt criminal justice system.
BLM doesn't address the economic reasons issues affecting black Americans, the just claim exclusivity for blacks when it comes to police abuse affecting US citizens.
qman, I can say definitively that you have zero idea what BLM is about. You live in the land of camp fire stories on this front. It's sad, because you are more than capable.
You are however committing a logical fallacy, not unusual for you. I'll let you figure out which one.
As for my comment regarding policing gated communities, I am not going to point fingers, this is the pub. We all want to have fun here. If you want to hash this out move it to the politics forum. I personally would like to keep laughing at these two dumb shits who are lucky they didn't murder their respective significant other accidentally.
To SunRa, welcome to Shemue's ban list! He's so smart he doesn't have to listen to dissenting opinions. Also, gated communities are pretty much the epitome of class segregation. All these freedom lovers and nobody is considering the realities of spacial segregation.

This was the absolute worst display of gun safety I've ever seen. You don't point a gun at someone unless you are going to use it. What they did could be argued in court to be assault with a deadly weapon. I don't see anything wrong with protecting yourself and your property but what they should have done was just sit or stand out there with their guns not pointing at anyone.
I also support the cause of the protesters. Police have been out of control for years and I know poor and black people get it worse. Just don't destroy things. Unfortunately when people gather into mobs it's like a pack of wild animals for some reason. And I think there are some extremist groups of all kinds that use the cover of the protest to cause chaos for whatever reason they have. The whole situation is so complex its just not good all around.

No gated communities are fine. It's not blocking off a public street it's basically their driveway. The only thing back there is people's yards and driveways. If everyone in that neighborhood wants to lock the entrance it's their own business if they want to do that. If you want their street to be unlocked then what do you want or need to go back there for?

America has problems my dude, nobody will dispute that. But lets work together to make it awesome. Turn that anger into change, turn that change into something positive. We don't have to be mad to make a difference.

No need to say my bad
Some people in AA say their cravings have gone away
I still have a problem with it personally
Fantasies about how nice it would be to be drunk to the point of complete oblivion and shit
If you’re bored you can read about it here
https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/22559523
Some will say my sobriety has been so difficult because I don’t work the steps I just attend meetings
Others say the problems like anxiety and depression that led me to alcoholism are still unaddressed
You’re like around 30 I’m guessing??? It can really get it’s claws into you. At 30 I thought sitting around by yourself and drinking a six pack in a couple hours was something. By 45 I would wake up after a hard passout drunk and swig 5 shots worth of bourbon straight from the bottle before my morning piss. Fucking life destroying.

I don’t believe America can be fixed. The rest of the world needs to get together and get us off the map. We’re toxic. This country is a cancer on earth.

Even if gated communities offend you, they are legal, you can’t just condone or incite violence just because you disagree with something in the law. That would lead to pandemonium. If you really are against walls that separate us, can I have your property ?

All the photos presented dont show a single "gated community" but rather somebodies yard. I could be misinformed though. Would love to see a single photo showing this isn't just their front lawn.
If my dog says you are on my lawn you have 2 minutes tops before bad things happen to you depending on the situation. All these photos make it seem like it's just a single families yard and not a "gated community" as some insist
