If they were so worried they should have gone inside and called the cops, as rich white people the cops would have been there in no time.

I bet they had some great sex after this though, nothing like pointing your guns at some protestors to really get the juices flowing.

They probably have panic rooms, multi camera security, alarm systems, giant safes for their valuables, they need to calm the fuck down.

Why are you assuming they hadn't already called the cops?  In the meantime, I have no issue displaying fire arms in the face of an angry mob screaming threatening  statements in front of the home.

I skimmed an article earlier on this and I'm fairly certain they did call the police.

It's a bit ironic the cops didn't shoot them when they showed up. I guess the BLM folks have a point.

I'm not some avid defender of the rich and elite, believe me. I live across the highway from the most affluent neighborhood in Dallas (where I live however is lunch pail working class at best), and driving through there, yeah I'll be the first one to admit I'm envious. They'll experience luxuries in life that I'll  only ever be able to dream about.

Without knowing them I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume these two would more than likely view me as a mere peasant.

That said I support everyone's right to defend their property. And it is their property despite what SunRa says. Clearly and obviously the "protesters" broke the fence/gate and were on the property. Do people really believe the protesters were just walking down the street politely minding their own business and then this guy and his wife pulled out the artillery on them?

These two were probably praying to the heavens that they'd just keep it moving along and not pay any attention to their home. I mean who the hell wants to get into a standoff with a group of pissed off people. Some of which were armed themselves. They obviously did it because they felt that it was their last line of defense.

I'd say they did it out of pure ignorance.

Again, it's amazing that the cops didn't shoot them when they arrived, but I guess being white has its advantages.

If BLM actually addressed the actual disparity of policing that is based on economic status, not race, you'd have a valid point.

BLM wants to make it just a black and white issue, that's why the movement isn't making any effective change.

I honestly don't know what you are getting at. Is it that black Americans are disproportionately poorer than white Americans? If so, sounds like a case of racism to me.

I think they should protect the people protecting their homes. They don't deserve to be shot for defending property.

Owning a gun isn't illegal and nobody was waving a gun at them. They went out front with their guns because there were black people marching on their gated sidewalk. If it were white people marching would they be standing out waving their guns like a couple of morons? I doubt it, of course we will never know, because white people aren't disproportionately killed by police. Maybe we can organize a white persons gun march through their gates sidewalk and see.

Actually the report I read earlier said it was actually white protesters who were allegedly the most aggressive towards these two. And I think it's misleading to simplify it down to "people just marching down the sidewalk". They broke their gate, which means they were on the property -- unless you believe that was staged.

If you live in a gated community are you then allowed to police that community without some sort of official permission to do so? The answer is no. Protect your house, look retarded, yes sir. That is A-okay, and they did a fine job.

So you're saying people need permission to protect their home? And that people who protect their home look retarded?
