Found in state forest in NSW growing out of wombat shit.
Very slight dark bruising on cap edges.
Wondering if it's psilocybe alutacea?

Could be. Looks a little more like Deconica coprophila. Did it have a separable gelatinous pellicle?

In that case they may likely be P.alutacea. Though if they haven’t clearly bruised blue anywhere I wouldn’t risk ingesting them.
Definitely wait on a TI’s opinion if you plan on doing so.

Yh I'll hang around for another opinion just to be sure.
I found another patch near by and one of the mushrooms was huge like sub size, clear bluing on the stem and clearly growing from the dung. Unfortunately the cap's gills had deteriorated. Would have been worth a spore print.

Deer hunting, so naturally you learn the different animal shits. Appeared to be old wombat shit anyway, all the near by holes were a clue as well.
Yh I'm keen to start collecting psilocybe alutacea and learn how to better identify them. I have definitely picked them before with clear blue bruising but never bothered to do anything with them.
