Kind of a strange way to go about things given that brf cakes are generally a way to circumvent cleaning up spores, but if you really wanted to (or wanted to make clean cakes for LI) you can put sterile water in your agar dish and extract to use or drop your puck in a sterile separate jar of water to blend or shake and use as LI.

Also (excuse the double post) you can make brf mix sans the verm filter in a jar with a grain jar lid and toss in an agar puck/wedge.  Makes for a slow grow but you could.  I actually have made cakes in pts filled halfway to use as a one-and-done jar for making/shaking brf LI and it works ok.  A bit slow, but perfectly fine.

I think this question is intended to get around using a pressure cooker.

I have a similar question.  If someone has spores and no pressure cooker, is it possible to grow from spore?  It seems agar would be the best way, but it is intended for grain jars that are sterilized using a pressure cooker.

I guess the best suggestion was to make a grain style jar with rice flour and drop colonized agar into it.
