I am currently living in place where the only available internet is satellite, it works for browsing online but not at all for much else, the latency is horrendous and I was just wondering is their any other way to get a connection with good latency, maybe a hotspot or something else?

Satellite inherently introduces long latencies due to the distances covered. The only real solution is a more direct link, either some sort of physical land line or a high frequency line of sight beam link. The latter as far as I know is not available to consumers.

Fixed Wireless? Might not be an option because there are some variables - If there's an isp that offers it near you and they have a clear LOS to your house then it'd be better than satellite. I fucking hate AT&T as a company but they offer fixed wireless for rural folks - and I will say that their coverage was always the best for me in rural areas by far.

oh bummer - well it's worth checking and seeing if you have a local fixed wireless isp alternative.

A Mobile Hot Spot would work. It uses cellar towers so hopefully your area has good signal. Heres one option. Place it near a widow. Pay a monthly service thou for the cellar data.
If you got a big budget.

Ah the only downside of living far away from people, I know your pain lol. I use a 10gb per month hotspot on my phone to game. As long as I use it just to game I'm fine(for updates I just go to a friend's house in town) fuck satellite internet
