I got an oculus quest and wow! Suprised at how immersive it is as a standalone.
My only other VR experience was a vive demo like 3 years ago at a best buy, was fun but far to expensive.
They seem to have come a long way..this is the future of gaming!
Do any of you VR?? What are some cool games to get?

I'm awaiting the next generation leap they make. They are so close to really getting the big issues solved that people have issues with like vertigo/nausea/etc. Then I'll prob spring for a full blown system.

Have any of you tried google earth in VR? It is crazy good. You can fly and land on a building then fly to another building or down to the street really quickly. Really interesting experience.

Neither myself nor my girl have experienced ANY vertigo or nausea..
And for a standalone system, the quest delivers. Full immersion, decent graphics, amazing response time w/controller or hand tracking.
I highly suggest it. Although I bet next year we will see a generation leap in headsets but for now this is amazing.

Haven't yet but gonna try tonight! Thanks for the suggestion. Just beat thrill of the fight on normal, it took me a couple weeks because I would be so exhausted after more than a two or three did fights and I get sore for days after Excellent boxing sim though.

Imagine we end up creating a VR world so immersive that you end up creating a VR system within it.
Imagine the future where this reality is no longer as attractive as the headset.
Computational power is on the precipice of being able to simulate the complexity of the "known" universe. Ie that headset can deliver you to the same vastness that we perceive as only an option here.
We're getting closer.

I have a Value Index, I love playing Subnautica in VR on acid because my thalassophobia excites me greatly.

I haven't had the chance to try VR yet. It's really taken off since I got locked up in 2016. Im really excited to try it out, though.
