Habitat:
Mid- Pennsylvania.  Found growing in our donkeys manure during humid weather.

Cap:
About 1 to 2 inches in diameter.  Had a white cap with blue(ish) sides, now brown.

My main concern is that these have been found growing where our donkeys live so they could eat them if we are not careful.  I was not thinking about pictures when I originally seen them yesterday when they were fresh.

Thank you for your quick response.  The Panaeolus Sp are Non-active?  How can you tell?  Thanks!

Because reasons, that's how :justdontknow:

For real though look up active panaeolus and compare to what you have. After you've been around and actually held and picked active mushrooms you quickly learn what is and what isnt from 10ft away.

You likely have panaeolus papilionaceus. If you look at the caps edge, you see that serrated appearance from the "veil" remnants? That's one way you can discern these from active. Familiarize yourself with what IS active and you'll quickly spot what ISNT.

Thanks!  I have never evaluated mushrooms before so this was all very interesting to me.  Some time I will have to look into classification of mushrooms, it seems like fun.
