Is this mold or mycelium?

Some whilst i'm sure most of my substrates have failed, one of them is slowly growing a beard, but as a notice i'm not certain whether 1'st mold or mycelium?
I used various grains, but this potentially successful one is spelt. I've reached the end of week 9 since inoculation, and first noticed growth 3 weeks ago, which started as a small white patch on top, about 1cm wide.
This is my first attempt at grain, and somewhere later down the line I discovered that i'd done it wrong as I actually cooked the spelt before sterilising it! Obviously I decided to let it be and monitor it over the weeks that followed.

I would also like some feedback on this... I have some hairy jars that look borderline between mycelium and mold too

I've had contamination before that looked just like the outside of that center mycelium. If you have agar plates you could try transferring the healthy tissue to another jar of sterilized grains that way, as a possibility.

Seems pretty suspect if it's been 9 weeks. I've never personally experienced growth like that without obvious contam.

Well my wisdom is far from divine but that's mold. I don't know if the small white patch on top is the same as the yellowish/grey mold all in the jar but none of it looks like the stuff we're after.
Did you have only tinfoil as the lid for this?

Looks like both myc and mold. The brighter white stuff in the middle is likely mush myc.... everything else is mold.

Hey man, yeah two layers, one tight which was pierced during inoculation, and the other loosely squeezed on top.

Ah damn it. Thing is when I opened it, it was only that dense bit in the middle that made me unsure so I kept it. Never mind!
Thanks for the guidance you wise ol shroomy owls!
