Pan cyan grow with store bought horse manure and coir * 2
    #26743976 - 06/14/20 11:51 AM (3 years, 7 months ago)

Hi, i wanted to use store bought manure so i found one ‘manufacturer’ in the netherlands who has organic horse manure (DCM). Also since me and straw have a strained relationship, i wanted to use coir, so here we are.

Pan cyan jamaica spore solution used to inoculate on agar.
Agar -> Lc -> rye grain

Horse manure, coir and verm were hydrated to field capacity, then pasteurized.
Ratios more or less 2:2:1, i used some CaCo3, CaOh and some gypsum. (A tbsp, 1/2 tsp, tsp respectively for about each quart/litre of volume)

Mixed spawn with substrate in about 1:2 ratio.
Fully colonized in 4 days

Cased with oven tek pasteurized peat/verm casing layer
Put in fruiting, both in a tub and in a martha

Lastly, I was not able to maintain temperatures at or above 25C/77F. During the night and sometimes during the day, temps dropped as far as 20C/68F.

First pins in about 6 days

3 days later

Those turned out great.

That one tray has some funkadelic mycelium going on. Cloud 9 strain.

Hey, no, havent weighted it, too lazy for it. I have done a second grow, of pan cyan jams and cyan florida. At a bit higher temps (temps upwards of 77 F) in a small heat wave here in holland:

Thx guys, very happy with those grows.

I like Florida more than jamaicans. The latter has a bit bitter aftertaste. And Floridians grow a bit bigger.

I’d say with these strains, you can grow them with temps a bit below 77F/25C, maybe even sometimes dropping to 20C at night, And still have decent flushes. but I get the best results at 77/25C and upwards.

Man I’d have to take so many clones from that last canopy pic. So many clusters.

I agree with the temp thing, I messed up my timers when I first got them and had no heat all night a couple times. Got down to mid-low 60s and they didn’t seem to mind. Definitely seem to be more tolerant of temperature swings than humidity swings.
