Yield, Stone producers, Pan spp.
    #26788643 - 06/28/20 01:20 AM (3 years, 6 months ago)

Greetings, I am in need of advice.
I know that cubensis spp. provide for the highest yield weight wise among all the psilocybin containing species but i have a few questions for you experienced growers.

Are there any differences, yield wise, between Psilocybe tampanensis, mexicana, galindoi?

What about between stone producers and Panaeolus cyanescens?

Thank you!

Ps. Tampanensis and Ps. Galindoi are both Ps. Mexicana as far as I know.

When growing from spores the yield will always vary from grow to grow, flush to flush etc. You need to clone or isolate a strain to get consistent results.

With Ps. Mexicana and Pan Cyan the yield by weight will be much lower than Ps. Cubensis, but the potency will be higher by weight.

I don’t think a solid pan grow can be beat for alkaloid production.

With a good culture you could probably get 100 decent doses per quart of spawn if not more.

With stone producers I think Jalisco would be the best for fruits. Haven’t grown them yet but from what I’ve been reading they’re the most potent and the heaviest fruiters. Although some of the guys here have gnarly tamp cultures too.
