So I’m sterilizing some grain jars in my presto. Qt jars. The pc started leaking like crazy so i stopped it 55 minutes in. I think the jars are holding up the valve a bit or something Should I pc them another hour tomorow when I figure it out and I can open ITV. Or should I just use them and prey to god they work haha. Thanks everyone

Just do a normal pc run, sterilization requires a constant temperature for a set amount of time, stopping in the middle and starting back up wont work. Many people do 90min at 250°, some do 120min at 250°, I like 150min at 250°, its up to you how long you normal sterilize them for but it needs to be a full cycle

Just run it another time for however long you normally do a full pc cycle.

Why is there something wrong with you pc, if you fix the problem then do a normal cycle. Nothing is wrong with your jars except they didn't get sterilized, the next cycle will do the job.

I've had issues of bags stopping up the vent in the past. I'm very particular how I place the bags now. Just learn from this and be sure a jar isn't directly under your vent in the future. Oh, and if you pray, do pray, not prey.
