Oh, in Step 4, "rinsing" doesn't mean rinsing the outside obviously. I mean suck up clean water and expel it a few times.

The best way to sterilize them is to take them apart and thrown in the pc for a few minutes. Use clean hands to put them back together, then use whichever syringe making tek you prefer. I like the Wino Tek, found on the Links page at the Spore Lab.

CaptainMax, in your WinO tek, would a nice 12oz draft glass work as well? I'm not much of a wine fan.
I've also read about 'reuseable syringe's' .. I thought all syringe's were reuseable... or is it recommended to use new ones sometimes?

What about sterilizing them in a pressure cooker??
At a temperature of 121 ?C the most bacterial spores are killed!! When bacterial spores die you can say it's sterile!!

I forgot to add if you use sterilizing bags (where you put your syringes in) you can sterilize the bags and keep the syringes sterile even after the proces! When closing the bag firm it will be sterile for a while!![smile peace

paddo - thats what I suggest, sterilize them in your pc - thats pressure cooker, not personal computer!

buschman - a beer glass doesn't have the cylindrical bowl of a wine vessel, you can't swish it around as good.

Watch for new post on detailed cleaning instructions.
