http:// Habitat:NE Georgia. In grass 50-100 feet from hardwood and pine. Without observable burried wood. Clay soil. Growing singly or in pairs 10-15 ft apart.
Gills: White to cream in young specimens. Then lavender, and finally black in mature specimens. When mature they appear slightly mottled but my pictures may say otherwise to a more experienced observer. I see three different lengths of gills. They appear attached to the stem. Not running down. Seperate and 1 cm long.
Stem: 5-10mm thick. 3-5cm tall. White to cream. Smooth with loosely attached veil remnants 3/4 of the way up. Somewhat brittle. Internally fibrous and not hollow.
Cap: 2-5cm wide. White and pale yellow to cream with age. Smooth without and umbo. Hemispherical, slightly conical, then flat with age. Brittle.
Spore color: Purple Black.
Bruising: No observable bruising. Minor olive and yellow undertones on the cap but I may be mistaken.
Other information: Drying to cream/ tan. No outstanding scent. I noticed one cap was covered in spores and a blade of grass. It was clean and white the day before. You can see where the grass covered the cap.
This is my first attempt at posting so please excuse my ignorances. I would gladly accept correction to my description or my trial attempt to see if I can follow directions and use a computer. Love the site, thanks.

Fantastic first post! Theres people been here for years and cant get the ID format right.
Looks like agaricus sp. To me, species are often hard to discern from one another. Maybe someone more well versed in agaricus will pop in and help where I cant. Welcome to the shroomery!
