location gulf islands, Auckland Gills: some white, some brown Stem: white, some turned black very slightly blue perhaps In wood chip around small trees Spore grey brownish.

Hypholoma fasciculare, I strongly recommend that you use scissors to harvest mushrooms in Australia and New Zealand due to Phytophythora cinnamomi, it's very destructive and easily spread by disturbing the soil.

Good pointer.
edit- Heard there was research on that disease and was put to the test through 10 years of scissors vs 10 years of normal hand picking. neither of them had much difference at all.
