Anyone using grainmash kettles for beer making?

Hi All,
Someone I know is looking for the most efficient and easy way to prepare bulk grain spawn in quantity. Anyone using large grain mash kettles designed for beer making? Any other suggestions for preparing larger amounts (100lbs+) or just get the biggest pots you can find?
Thanks!

Sort of...when people build steam generators for a bulk sterilizer it's basically an electric mash kettle. Check this out.
I'm currently building the exact same thing except I'm using a 30 gal stainless drum and a 5500 watt element. Other than that it's exactly the same. You can connect the steam generator to anything you want ie: another drum, a steel cabinet, stock trough, brick steam shed, galvanizedgarbage can....whatever.
But yes, you could use a mash kettle.
Personally I'd do something like this of you want a lot of volume.

The easiest way to prepare bulk grain in quantity is in spawn bags with a no prep method where you add a certain amount of water to the grain in the bag and then just let it sit for 24 hours before PC run to absorb. You do not want to find yourself having to rinse-boil-dry a huge amount of grain it is a big hassle and totally unnecessary. I have heard that around 40% water added to millet and let to sit 24 hours after shaking it around in a spawn bag works just fine for a farm.

Thanks for the replies so far guys. Those steam set-ups are great. I do like the idea of a no-prep method with almost zero foot print.
Anyone have some formulas/tek for the autoclave bag non-prep method that sandman420 is mentioning? I would be interested in rye and/or popcorn, 5lb bags.
Cheers!

The only recipe for no prep I know works is with millet. For a 5lb bag its a simple 3lb millet and 2lb water. Dump the millet in a bag and dump the water on the millet and then mix around a little and set aside 24 hours to evenly absorb. It might work similarly with rye or even popcorn try it out.

I personally don't have experience with what sandman mentioned but you can boil up to 50lbs of grain in a large canning pot with a 3 peice weldless ball valve for drainage.
I used a roll of screen doubled over as a mesh strainer inside of the pot, I then used block and tackle to lift the grain out of the pot and layed the grains on a 6ft table with shallow walls made of 2x4 to dry. I no longer have my 941s so I haven't used it in forever but that's one way of doing it.
These are expensive but you get the idea:

I'll be looking for (or building) something like that as a solution once my bulk steamer and lab have been built for my gourmet business. I lack pictures to illustrate but will be making a thread about it in the future.
Edit* If you don't use a false bottom with a screen or have a strainer as pictured above you'll have issues with clogged drain valve and cooked grains stuck to the bottom of the pot.
Honestly I'm likely going to just buy that pot and strainer combo and line the inside of the strainer with screen.
