What's up my beautiful people! Sooo, kinda have been wanting to do another grow! I came across this dish I had in my cabinet of my room! From 5 months ago I let a culture grow out on here! Forgot all about it lol.
Not that I'm trying to cut edges or anything - I still have agar and syringes in the fridge. But I was wondering.. if I could drop a wedge from this to one jar and do a g2g to some others!?
I'm not sure how long is "acceptable" for things of such nature. It has been sitting in my room. Hasn't been touched!

I think its hard for anyone to answer this because we know nothing about this plate. I dont think you know anything about this plate either. You can always put a plate to a jar and see what happens. But doing g2g with a plate that is an unknown (to you and to us) and then multiplying it to a bunch of other jars seems like a fun experiment... if you don't mind losing a bunch of jars that is (or not).
As far as I understand g2g is an excellent tek when you have lowered the risk for the original jar as much as possible. The myc doesnt look dead. I wonder why it hasn't pinned after that long though? Or do invitro pins need unwrapped plates for FAE? Would love to know if someone knows about this.

If you've got plates already, I'd do a transfer for peace of mind...
Do you really want to find out it's contaminated after it's already on grain?

Finding out its contaminated after its in one grain jar is one thing, but in several jars... not fun. So, yeah definitely transfer to new plates and see.

I see hyphal knots. Why not wait for it to pin and then make a new dish with the pin?
