Habitat: Off a tree stump, can post habitat shot when I post spore print shot, phone is dead currently only got to upload these 3 pics so far
Gills: Brown and tight packed, stem was majorly attached to the gills, like when I separated the stem from the cap I also had to take off some gills with the stem because of the way it sort of bridged together
Stem: Short, tan on the outside white in the inside, squishy and dense
Cap: Golden/brown top, brown gills
Spore print color: Waiting for them to drop, put it on paper 10 minutes ago and nothing visible yet though, using white paper. Will post a pic after it becomes visible enough to see.
Bruising: Purple all over the stems
Other info: So yeah these 2 were growing side by side off the side of a tree stump out of a hole in the stump, they were touching each other growing side by side, was hard to pull the whole thing out since the shroom is kind of squishy, some stem got leftover in the hole of the stump, the stems are bruising purple like crazy, can post newer pictures once phone charges and i get to uploading the spore print and habitat shot, in one of the pics you can see one of the pieces of the stem is basically 100% darkened when it was originally white and tan when first picked

Ah, alright, the bruising got me excited, 4 days in a row of mushroom hunting but it hasnt rained in like a whole month here, so right now I am kind of just practicing, so when it does rain I do think I can get lucky
Here is some more pics showing the bruising, and one of them shows the stem somewhat still attached to the cap of the bigger guy, spore print is taking a while, probably gonna take a day or so

Swear not trying to be rude, but your pictures are shit. That being said try taking in situation pics and also pics in natural lighting. I'm leaning towards cortinarius for these

Alright, new to hunting so I was hoping that it could be an interesting find considering it bruised purple extreeeeemely, also because I live in NY and it also hasnt rained in a month, but I am still going hunting, so far this is my 4th consecutive day in a row hunting, mainly for practice, so when it does rain, I do have plenty of ideas where to look at least given my current regular edible/poisonous finds so far.. and yeah.. phone quality lol androids can only focus on one thing in the picture, rather than the whole picture, so I usually just have it focus on the middle of the picture, and the sides usually become blurred or whatnot, but yeah mainly just wanted to show that there was purple bruising, which I think was shown fine enough, but could have gotten better pictures of the cap gills for sure

I'm gonna lean panellus sp. Looks just like some panellus serotinus I found last year, and I'm pretty sure one of them turned a weird purple color when I cut it off the tree.

Purple, literal purple, it's not a good sign. You want dark steel blue. And the HD quality is not what I mean it's the flash of the camera and holding in your hands at weird angles. You need natural pictures.

@Cham9085 Ah alright, and okay will take the pictures of my next find, outside or try to turn flash off and use a lamp light or something like that. And thanks, I thought purple was a sign it was psychoactive, but now I know it should be more blue than purple.
Well at least day by day I get a better find than the last, lol started a week ago or whatever, day 1 I posted an ID request for something that wasnt even a mushroom, just regular fungi, day 2 I posted an ID request for a little tiny red mushroom that was a Russula somebody said, day 3 I posted a golden capped mushroom that had potential to be something but was extremely damaged so couldnt get a specific ID, and then here I am on day 4 finally found something that bruised purple but ended up just being a poisonous mushroom I assume ;P

I blame the weather, its been so hot here for about a month straight, with no rain at all for the whole month. No wonder every mushroom I do pick up is so damaged and as hard as a rock, I really feel like I will get lucky if it would just rain all over my hunting spot already. The spot I go to is sooooooooo big and sooooo many potential places for fungi to grow, and I wouldn't be surprised if people have tripped on magic mushrooms at the hunting spot I am talking about, so hopefully they dropped some spores around the area haha.
