I would leave it, the grain will shrink as it uses up water letting the mushys stretch to the top

You think the bottom ones will go up through or around the 3" thick cake? its verm and spawn mix.
Theres a few near the top but 70% are toward the bottom

I'm top fruiting out of widemouths, but I've had huge pinsets fruit at the bottom and it's completely fine even if they never make it to the top. As mentioned above, the cake shrinks as the mushrooms grow, creating space. They might look weird as hell and mangled into all sorts of odd growth, but they eat just as well. Biggest pain in the ass for me was harvesting, because of how tight the mushrooms were lodged between the cake and the glass.
I think taking it out now would probably cause a majority of them to abort. They pinned there because the microclimate was better for growth, and changing that so abruptly definitely isn't good for them in this stage.
I'd just keep going as you are, and lighten up the top layer for the next flush.
Congrats on the pinset though man. Looks good. I'm sure it'll be fine.

If it was mine, I'd birth it, stick it on a chopstick or something and fruit the whole thing, all sides. I'd just put a gallon ziploc boys over it to lock in humidity. But that's just me

Thanks, Think i will just leave it.Removed most of the coir cap and put loose bag over top. This is part of my first jars i made up. the other 2 i cut out in half and fruited in shoebox. Got a few dried grams. nothing impressive.
Almost 5 months since i PC'd this jar and about 2 months since it was fully colonized. Might as well continue not to fuck with it
Second flush of this? it will be in pieces after i harvest.. will see

Most of the other ones i've harvested so far like you suggest. I'm hoping waiting will make it a little easier to get them out and i think cleaning the verm off is a pain and i've stopped using it.
I might end up harvesting in the morning

It's easier to brush the dirt off after they dry, nice yield though!
