Travel Deals during Covid Pandemic 2

I am really impressed with the travel discounts offered right now. We first were able to get some Vegas suites for about $100/weekend. Now we are buying some vouchers at 5 star hotels can be booked out and are fully refundable through 2022. Keeping eyes out for more deals too, I can grab another 2 of these before its just stupid and I need to stop spending money . I was almost able to get a suite for a 7 day cruise through Alaska, but it ended up being way too much even with discounts as they charge per person.
On the horizon so far:
House in Bali - $1000 Phuket, Thailand (Suite) - $940
The Covid situation sucks for sure, but you cant forget that there is still a life to live before your time is up. I also tend to get through hard times by planning trips - even if we gotta wait until were capable of going safely.
Anyone else booking some cool shit?

Remember when Thomas Cook went bankrupt overnight and hundreds of thousands of people were left stranded?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Cook_Group
he collapse triggered an operation initiated by the CAA, aiming to repatriate 150,000 British citizens from abroad. The operation was codenamed 'Operation Matterhorn' and overtook the 2017 collapse of Monarch Airlines as the UK's biggest peacetime repatriation. Around 40 aircraft from various airlines, including easyJet and Virgin Atlantic, as well as at least one Airbus A380 from Malaysia Airlines,[65] were chartered.[66] Insurance companies took care of customers from Germany, one of the former company's biggest markets.
It would not be unexpected for a couple of airlines or travel groups to have massive business failures in the coming months.

I've learned that when something in this life seems to good to be true.. it almost always is.
See above posts.

Something can happen to the body, but it will either heal or it won't. What's the big deal? Let life knock you to bits. Let life take you apart. Let life destroy you. It will only destroy what you are not. --Jac O'keeffe

Valid concerns for sure, but not too worried about anything like that. Booked through Travelzoo, on a credit card with travel protection. In fact if the trip somehow flops it would benefit us as we would get reimbursed cost of the trip and still get the points on our rewards card.
That being said, I do think it is important for people to do their due diligence when planning something like this. ALWAYS check reviews before booking - not just for the hotel and room, but flights, and booking agency (if not well known). Make sure you purchased from a well known entity, and unless the trip is a lock for you, make sure its refundable. And use a rewards credit card with travel protection.

It was only a few months ago that national boarders were closed and people needed to be emergency evacuated because airports shut down. I think repatriations are still taking place.
It just seems a little soon to be doing that. But fuck, who am I to talk. I flew Canada to the USA in May when the boarder was closed to all non-essential travel and because of current restrictions I probably am not going back to Canada this year.

Im doing something similar, a drive from the Nordics to the South of Greece, hopefully the borders are gonna be completely open/ not shut back down. Croatia should be great without tourists!
