Let’s Inoculate Melbourne, Victoria! *2020*
    #26783482 - 06/26/20 12:09 AM (3 years, 6 months ago)

Hi all!
I’m a freshie here, but I’ve lurked and taken notes and immersed myself in content including Stamets books and youtube videos and Shroomery Tek guides and ...you name it.

I’ve noticed Melbourne, Australia seems to have a massive presence here on the forum! (Am I wrong or biased?), which is fantastic for those of us who live here!

In the 60’s/70’s, apparently there was a really big movement of hippy psychonauts wanting to “spread the spore” to help encourage others to have  access to, use and/or cultivate our psychedelic friends  if they were so inclined.

Does it interest anybody to embark on an “Inoculate Melbourne” project and perhaps to even begin openly sharing inoculation areas with members for the next annual cycle of PSubs? I understand there are forum rules against sharing existing PSub locations (which I dont understand?), however I’m suggesting to share inoculated areas, not existing patches - but also open to amendments to my random idea and not suggesting we breach any forum rules. Either way, even without reporting location, it would be nice to have some active project on the go.

We’re all on the hunt for P.Subs, but sometimes giving back can play an even larger role and ... well it could just be a nice thing to do for others!

Have forum members experimented with or trialled the idea of inoculating large portions of the city in appropriate microclimates that would support P.Subs? I know individual enthusiasts have cultivated their own outdoor patches, but I’m thinking on a much larger scale.

Well, it’s a random idea - but something I might do myself in short order as a gift to my fellow psychonauts, particularly after all of the help I’ve had from ya’ll so far!

I wouldn’t say I’m a tree-hugging hippy, but I do like to give those thick-ass trees a solid slap on their trunks as I walk by.

Spread the spores by all means, but don't share the locations. Lazy foragers that just pick everything they see and post a picture on some shit Facebook group of a massive mixed pile of mushrooms are destroying the patches and community. It's not hard to put in the work to find and be sure of what you're looking for, but the people who aren't willing to put the work in normally see it as a fleeting good time and don't care about how they leave the patches.

:whathesaid: also  :cop:  could just make a list of said locations as this information would be public and wait for members
of the community to show up #easygame.

When I made spawn for my outdoor patch I ended up with a surplus of like 10 jars of grain spawn which I threw into a
few piles of wood chips in a couple of parks and the landscaping people did the spreading for me
