Should water for substrate/coir pasturization be distilled & boiled or from tap & boiled?

Hi, I am wondering if coir should be pasteurised with water that has been distilled and boiled or just any water that comes from tap and also has been boiled. Ive read a lot of contradicting things about it. Any input helps. thank you!

I've done coir with cold, warm and boiling water.
With the cold water just made to feild capacity no soaking for hours very quick and easy.
You could spit, cough and fart all over coir its pretty contam resistant.

I have success with tap and have never felt the need to use distilled water.
Some folk I know don't boil their tap water, however as a germaphobe I always boil.
