Obvious blue bruising in that specimen at the top. That looks like psilocybin to me. That blue is standard Psilcoybe colour blue.

I squashed the base of the stipe of the top two in the pics and generally beat them up about 30 mins after picking. The first photo showing the blue bruising taken 1 hr 45 minutes after picking.
Second photo taken 4 hrs after picking and the blueing now is barely visible.
Thanks Roger and Blazer420. And blessed are the horses I would love to post a pic of the magic poo horses but I can't. I imagine if these mushrooms are anything like Psilocybe semilanceata you are going to need a few.

Thanks velho I think they are kinda cute.
More from the original patch which is on a slope and mostly shaded and stays quite damp. Tall grasses, moss, bracken and there are pines nearby.

Oh there is gorse, forgot to mention the bloody gorse

Those look more like deconica coprophila than psilocybe alutacea. They dont quite look like your original finds. Maybe someone with alot more knowledge will chime in but those definately look like deconica to me.

This paddock was cleaned up last year and I only found one suspect. I'm keen to try again this year. As this post seemed to get buried back in covid times I would really appreciate a TI's input .. Alan Rockefeller, inski ..
Poor quality pics unfortunately of the separable gelatinous pellicle.

Some of those are dead-ringers for the Alutaceas I find, predominately in wombat shit around Vic. No separable gelatinous pellicle on the Alutaceas though (edit: having slept on this i'm beginning to think they might. Partner thinks so)
I found a post by heyowana in an old shaman australis thread that might be referencing the same mushroom?
Quote:
Anyway google Psilocybe samuiensis. Different colour cap to P.strictipes but another lookalike.
Now these cow and horsepaddock psilocybes have a gelatinous pellicle. As I said look for the grey lavender gills with a white line along the gill edge.
Between Nov to mid Feb is the time. Hot humid conditions after heavy rain.
So armed with your camera or mobile with those two photos of psilocybe downloaded approach your nearest meanie paddock.
Look in places that have had water running over them. Look where water has pooled as well.
If you see one of these mushrooms put a stick in the ground near where it is. Now follow the water course where the water has been up and down from this spot. Mark any place you find them with a stick. You will see how they love to grow in the wettest places in the paddock.
They seem to have an affinity for couch grass patches that are close to cow and horse manure.
I am hoping a friend that lives in nth Qld will snap some pics for me next monsoonal season.
I'll concentrate around where I live in NSW.
If anyone else feels up to the challenge there could be a gallery of unknown psilocybes from all around Australia if all goes well.
I was interested in shroomery because it has an international panel that has encounters with similar mushrooms.

Thanks Doc, I'm fairly convinced. They seem to tolerate a wide temperature range if you take into account the Australian finds too. Having quite a damp ground environment seems Important. Also there is a notable variation in colour as shown in Heyowanas pics too. Bobwastaken also has some lovely photos. Discobean to separate the gelatinous pellicle is not an easy thing to achieve.
