Milwaukee Brewers
    #2678079 - 05/14/04 03:19 PM (13 years, 5 months ago)

I was just at their game on wednesday night, we one 4-3.  They are doing good this season, especially for them.  Lyle Overbay has like a 14 game hitting streak...that's the record so far for this season i think.

ANYWAYS.

I posted this to say that they are playing the Braves tomorrow, which i'm going to.  And since it used to be the Milwaukee Braves, the brewers are gonna be wearing the old school uniforms they announced, which i'm assuming is the old braves uniforms...that will be really cool.  I gotsta get funked up for that game.

Who here likes baseball?  I'm, not a baseball superfan, but i've been getting into it the past 1.5 years...and the brewers are doing good for themselves and i'm proud of that, and miller park is so cool!!  that building is just amazing...and we always get great seats right behind homeplate because my dad's work gets tickets and my moms friend's lawfirm gets tickets right behind home plate...so it's awesome to get the prefered parking pass, great seats all for free!  i love it.

its funny how the brewers start doing good right after they trade their best player, richie sexson to the diamondbacks...  it doesnt matter though, cause the cubs will dominate the brewers all year

I hate the brewers, being a chicago guy, but I'm at most of the games when they play anyone decent.

I wouldnt buy good tickets either. We just buy the 1$ obstructed view seats and sit 10 or 15 rows up behind the plate. All the seats are pretty good there anyway, and they dont usually bother you about having your tickets.

But the fucking beer prices. 7$ for a beer! 8.50 for a margarita!

Thats fucking WEAK. I'll just bring my own under my jacket....

My cubs are down their two best pitchers and the rest of the lineup cant hit a ball worth a DAMN. They make me angry...its like, they either put up 14 runs and win by 13, or lose 1-0, or 2-0.

If they could just fucking score 4 or 5 runs a game, with the staff they have, they'd be winning ALL the time. They better get their shit together by september....

hey, they are in 2nd place right now... and are only down 3 games.... its not like they're having a terrible year... ill guarantee that they will be in the playoffs again this year... at the very least a wildcard... but they'll probably win the division championship again

Ripple- yeah...but look at the brewers they have the lowest pay scale or whatever in baseball i think..if not lowest they are real close.

DeepBlue- that is funny, and when we played the D-Backs we beat them.

Madtowntripper- yeah prices are outrageous...get drunk before the game or sneak something in. ANd if you are gonna pay, you get the cheap seats and once the game starts the ushers don't check your tickets usually. So it's real easy to get good seats...i see people sitting way far back way high up on the top balcony and i wonder why they hell they would sit there.

Someone was saying how sorry the Brewers were about a month back...
They allways play my Astros hard and usually they win 50% of the time
They are doing great this year and i usually root for them unless they are playing the Astros...Man i got to see Green Bay play the Steelers way back in 1975 at brewers stadium and they had the most wonderfull beer i think i have ever drank...

I'm a Brewers fan. The new stadium is pretty cool. Tailgating is fun. I saw the Allstar game there where it ended in a tie. That was lame.

yeah, miller park is tight...once for some event being held there budweiser beer was the "official sponsor" or "official beer sponsor" of the event and we were like "how the hell is budweiser gonna be the beer sponsor if its called miller park?!"

never been to wrigley, but wanna go. that field is awesome. That would be cool to have the apartments across the street...just watch a game from there, haha. Would if a ball was hit outta the park and busted your window. I've been to like 4 of 5 brewer games this season..i think every game that we've been to we have won...but maybe lost 1...but the majority i've gone to they've won...
