I've never seen taxidermy that didn't change something about the animal.
I wouldn't know what to do with it either. It's a morbid thing imo.
Try to not judge but still.

Taxidermy for our pet is kind of shallow.. no offence go anyone seriously. To me it is more like turning your family member into an ornament rather than actually cherishing the memories you have already.. seriously mean no offense at all.

I'm sorry Cookie. My deepest condolences. It is so difficult and unfair to put your best friend down. I have done it several times and it leaves me gutted. I am certain I am not unique. Take time and take care of yourself. I'm sure you have many remarkable memories of Meat. I kept hoping that he would rally for you.

Thanks when my family dog passed I said he would be chasing ducks in the sky. I'm sure Meat will join him, treeing squirrels.
We had a squirrel break into the house once and got stuck in the closet. Couldn't find him so we let Meat try. He pulled clothes out the closet until he found it. He picked it up and flung it into the hallway and the squirrel made a dash for the open door with an excited proud Meat hot on his heels.
So many great memories. I like to think wherever he is he's with his old buddy being his silly happy self.

I kinda knew that even if he got a little better it wouldn't be for long. I'm almost certain he had cancer in his gut or something. So I'm really fucking sad but thankful he had good health up to that point and his last days weren't as bad as they could have been.
Cancer is a terrible disease. But for the most part it just made him tired. I'm grateful it wasn't as cruel as it can be.
I'm sorry you've been through that and probably worse pslyke.
Also I think my parents held onto my family dog too long. He went naturally but he shouldn't have. Too much pain and confusion for the poor guy.
As hard as it was I'm 100% certain it was the right choice. He still knew momma was with him.

It really showed me how much of who I was as a person was built upon past childhood traumas and trying to mask and avoid those traumas, and just how much self healing I need to go through to truly be there for those people in my life who I love the most. I feel like sleeping all day again today but I think we are headed over to Jess’s parents in a bit. I’d let to take Jess’s dad to the next ceremony, I think it would be very important for him at this place in his life. In other new I’ve got some tasty tasty orange juice and a bagel. I hope you’re all well and know it’s never to late to heal.
I'm not sure what a yage ceremony is but I'm glad you experienced it and made that revelation.
Understanding why we are who we are is important if we are to be better

So sorry about Meat, Cookie . Seemed like a special pup. But that's because all pups are special .
One of the hardest things in the world to do, but it sounds like you did it right, and I'm sure it was a very peaceful life and death. About the most peaceful you could ask for, as a being waking up on a strange spinning rock in space

Condolences extended to you for the loss ov Meat, Cookie Crumbs.
Y'all gonna like this quote... I got 2 flats at work last week from screws in my tires, as did the shop owner and another employee. I highly suspect that the racist asshole lot manager who lives behind the shop was putting screws under our tires and i confronted him about it. He denied doing it, but then went on this huge anti-Mexican rant(i work with several Latinos but only 1 actual Mexican) that started like this: "I'm not racist, i'm a republican who is tired ov these goddamn Mexicans coming into this country and doing what they want....blah blah". He was coincidentally pissed that a coworker was working on his car behind the lot for context.
That's a gem, right? BTW, i'm not implying that all republicans are stupid or racist. Most people are stupid and their embrace ov political ideologies just reflect upon their particular type ov stupidity. I hate both main parties personally. But holy shit! WTF am i supposed to do here if he does'nt own up to fucking up peoples' cars? Shitty sitch.
Just venting.. going into work so i cant respond to any questions for a while.

Damn cookie, it's always bad to lose a pet, especially one that's been with you for so long. We've had dogs since we were children, so we've also gone through that. My mom and dad were always the ones to have to put them down though. It'll likely be us with the pups we have now, but thankfully that's not for a while yet.

I keep missing these but I might try to make that one. 3 hours later in EST right?
This keyboard problem is driving me crazy. Seemed to be the ribbon cable connection but the problem has come back. Could open the computer up and reseat it again but I'm not sure how long that will fix it. Maybe it's that I type too hard.

I always mix it up with Spirited Away. I think Princess Mononoke was the one I liked more.
