Not exactly. I woke up yesterday in a mud puddle because Sally came through and dumped alot more rain than me or the ground could handle. Me and my gear was truly genuinely the filthiest I've been since I was young and thought mud wrestling was fun. Actually still think it's fun but just not worth the cleanup. Especially not when it's my bed.

The start can be a little slow but once you get to part 3 of the first book the next thing you know you will be at the end of book three lol.

My recommendation is...

The Way of Kings

Words of Radiance

Warbreaker

Edgedancer

Oathbringer

Both Warbreaker and Edgedancer aren’t 100% needed when going from Words of Radiance to Oathbringer but they really really add an understanding that allows you to connect some pretty crazy dots once you do read Oathbringer.

Edgedancer is almost a must, it smooths over a lot a things that would seem a little abrupt in Oathbringer anyways. (2.5 novella, able to be finished in a day easily)

Warbreaker is set within a completely different planet and time, so it’s not quite as important, but there are things in it that cross over in a very very exciting way.

I rewrote that last part like 5 times trying to be as vague and non spoilerie as possible.

Anyways, enjoy, and please let me know what you think.
