ID Request - Aussie, Bright Blue flesh?

Found close to a river with the odd Pine tree about, on the edge of a track across from a bluegum plantation. South WA.
Are these active subs? Are they OK if the flesh is that blue... like proper bright blue not just bruised looking?

I left them behind in some wood/needles because they looked old and had mites.
Also this guy and a few of his mates at the edge of a pine plantation.

They appear to be subs and that is some serious bluing (must be potent). Looks like a good find welcome to the shroomery.
The bottom one is amanita muscaria.

Damn they look like good subs to me! Slim pickings if you think they look old as most of them look exactly like that. Old is when theyve been half eaten and are brown and mushy. Completely normal for them to be covered with mites and/or grubs. If you dry them out the mites and grubs drop out of them pretty hastily. These are just as potent if not moreso as any other subs you would find from my experience.

Ok thanks. Good to know they're still edible at this stage, wasn't sure what I was looking at because had only seen cow/elephant shit shrooms before this.

When consuming magic fly it is toxic due to the ibotenic acid in the mushroom. Drying the mushroom however, converts the ibotenic acid into muscimol (which is the psychedelic compound). So you really need to know how to dry them properly and thoroughly. I believe muscimol is water soluble, so boiling the dry mushroom and discarding the water will make the mushroom edible, without causing any psychedelic experiences. Alternatively you can boil the dried out mushroom, and then drink the water as a tea to get the psychedelic effects. But my understanding is never to eat it raw.
Although personally I'd rather stick with subs.
