In my opinion they just do0n't think it could happen to them -it's always the OTHER guy who is gonna get dusted. Like I said before in ^ post, I did some boxing, and the one thing that was always gonna make you lose , is that you even had the thought that you COULD lose.
\My last fight (the one that made me quit) I got totally wrecked. I made a mistake, and got caught by a guy who was less technical than me but could punch like a friggin mule kicks. I got pinned on the ropes and this guy beat the living bees out of me. The last thing I remember hearing is people yelling "stop the fight, stop the fight!". It took me a week to get my head back on straight. And quite honestly, you are never the same after a beating like that. I never was.
And that was as an amateur. A pro fighter goes through similar beatings many times on their way up, and once they get there even more. Fighters at that level are very very spooky people.
Much love to you friends. Peace etc. ...
it is what it is you don't pay boxing. but I do understand you. I do boxing myself. I did not got any amateur fights-training for one. but hate when you get to spar guy who just want to fight not to train skills. but again you should protect yourself at all times and try to get out situation like that if you were more technical.. but shit happens and sometimes opponent is more lucky and has that lucky opportunity to get that one shot which makes your legs wobble.
anyway I do believe both fighters [Tyson and Jones Jr] have enough experience and do know what they are doing at this age. and it should be one good fight to watch! guys are legends!

the way he's stare through your soul before snatching it from you in the ring was some real gangsta shit

that's was his thing-psychologicaly he already won most of his fights only when he entered the ring. people knew how he fights and thought that you are on his radar from moment you enter same ring with him just frightening. then at 1st round 10s in and you are knocked down, 10 more and KO'd.

Tyson was animal. Mike Tyson vs Andrew Golota. Golota refused to fight left ring after 2nd round

His corner trying to press him to continue can eat a dick and so can the fans.
Tyson was horrifying.
Roy Jones fucking tortured people too though. In a different way but he would keep them in the ring intentionally and tear them up like a cat playing with a mouse
I’m not judging. It’s part of the sport. I loved watching both of them fight. Not in their fifties though. Roy Jones has kept fighting and other people have wasted his money. I’m just not down with this one.

I already requested the day off work to watch. Hopefully someone dies.

Geezus robbyberto, that sounds pretty rough! When is the last time you've been punched out? I'm not sure you understand what is at stake here. I like to watch auto racing, and a good wreck can be just as thrilling as a close last lap finish to the checkered flag -but I don't want to see anybody die for crisake. Geezus...

Yeah, I heard the same thing. Everybody wants to keep doing the things that they are good at -even after they are way past their peak. Is this a good thing? IDK! It sure is interesting as hell to watch play out though!

It's interesting that Mike Tyson, convicted of rape, has been forgiven and embraced by the Hollywood entertainment community - while other people have suffered (likely permanent) reputation damage for saying things that offend some people. How quickly mass movement eruptions such as "Me Too" fizzle out. The public becomes a bit outraged, and then just moves on . . .

Re; rj tubs I hear you friend. The me 2 movement may have fizzled a bit, but I don't think it is dead. The way I look at it is that life is ebb and flow, high tide low tide etc. It is remarkable that so many women came out all at once together and did what they did -even once! Something in that magnitude becomes a kind of seed that grows in the group mind of society. What is even more remarkable is that some men actually get it!
Does Tyson get it? IDK. We all are a product of our environment to one degree or another. Tyson in his youth was a total F'd up A-hole scumbag. When all is said and done, we talking monkeys will have a lot of explaining to do. Peace friend, keep fighting the good fight.
