Mike Tyson is going to hurt someone when he comes back and fights. Has anyone seen his training videos?
He is insanely violent and I will pay too much to see his next fight, whenever it will be. I cannot wait!

He looks like he is going to. If his cardio is on point, it’s going to be amazing watching him. He really is a scary dude. Probably a nice guy outside of the ring though.

I want to see him go up against Mayweather. I'm definitely excited for his return. It'll be interesting though because mike is so much older now. I'm curious to see if he's still got it.

I'd like to see him go against Mayweather too but...
Roy Jones Jr fought at a little over 190 lbs. Mayweather at around 150. There's all the age differences involved, but I doubt Mayweather would get in a ring with Tyson.

When I was young and stupid i did some boxing (amateur). I still carry the scars (nose). What it did to my brain is a good question -can't be anything good. Getting knocked flat when you are in your 20's has gotta be different than getting knocked flat, or even just knocked silly in your 50's. Whatever the thing is that makes pro fighters a pro fighter is something I'm glad I don't have. Animals like Tyson don't know how to 'pull' punches -the only thing warriors like that know is pedal to the metal full-out @#$%!!!
Hope nobody gets seriously hurt. How much is the PPV? Can't wait!

it was announced today so there is no price for PPV yet but I guess it should be affordable
boxing is brutal and very dangerous sport but you have to accept it if you love what you do
both of them [Tyson and Jones Jr] been fighting professionally and I think they do realize how that fight can possibly end and are cousious about that.

I'm not so sure they realize what could happen -although I respect your point of view. In my opinion they just do0n't think it could happen to them -it's always the OTHER guy who is gonna get dusted. Like I said before in ^ post, I did some boxing, and the one thing that was always gonna make you lose , is that you even had the thought that you COULD lose.
\My last fight (the one that made me quit) I got totally wrecked. I made a mistake, and got caught by a guy who was less technical than me but could punch like a friggin mule kicks. I got pinned on the ropes and this guy beat the living bees out of me. The last thing I remember hearing is people yelling "stop the fight, stop the fight!". It took me a week to get my head back on straight. And quite honestly, you are never the same after a beating like that. I never was.
And that was as an amateur. A pro fighter goes through similar beatings many times on their way up, and once they get there even more. Fighters at that level are very very spooky people.
Much love to you friends. Peace etc. ...

So they're calling it an exhibition -- not an actual fight that would count towards their professional records, I believe.
Mike lost 3 of his last 4 fights before he retired and that was 15 years ago. Dude is 54, lol. Roy amazingly has still been fighting professionally -- although he is far off the radar as far as being a legitimate contender anymore. He basically fights very low level opponents now. Roy is 51.
Pretty sure this is just a sideshow money grab for a few rounds of light sparring -- I highly doubt that they're going in there to destroy each other.

George Foreman did a lot of fighting when he was pretty old, but nobody seemed to be hurting him.

Foreman kept fighting though. He stayed active. Tyson hasn't fought in a decade and a half. Bernard Hopkins fought at a high level until he was 50. Manny Pacquiao is I think coming up on 42 and is still one of the best fighters in his weight class, which is a fuckin loaded weight class.
Certain fighters (special fighters) can still operate a high level when they're advanced in age but not fighting for 15 years...that's something else entirely. Oscar De La Hoya is also reportedly interested in making a comeback in the 154 pound division. Which is insane because the last time he fought was 12 years ago when he retired on his stool after getting annihilated by a prime Manny Pacquiao.

8 rounds but they’re fighting for real. These guys got it in their DNA.

California State Athletic Commissioner admits to public that it's just a glorified sparring session and both Tyson and Jones have been explicitly told not to hurt each other:

Tyson has also bit an ear off in the ring. I think once fists start flying the pit bull that forever exists within him will come out.
would totally pay for this one, wish it was in Aug during our fantasy draft cuz last time we paid up for a mayweather fight and it was downright dogshit.

seriously though Mike was just a stone cold killer back in his day
the way he'd stare through your soul before snatching it from you in the ring was some real gangsta shit
