Noob looking for helpful ID friends
    #26775569 - 06/22/20 10:23 PM (3 years, 7 months ago)

Habitat:
Western Australia, 2hrs North of Perth. Found in creek bed, mixture of growth of moist wood chips and in clay undergrowth

Gills:
Gilled, seemingly attached to stem but hard to be sure as it is my first time.

Stem:
5-15cm long, 2-5mm wide, brown, silky and frail, hollow, thin.

Cap:
15-50mm, brown with darker umbo, lighter ring and darker edges. Also silky and frail, with occasional wavy top, seemingly paling with age, conical but flattening, concave.

Spore print color:
Hasn't dropped spores in 24hrs (might have done so when storing on drive home but not have been clearly observable. If so, spores would have been dark and not rusty or brown).

Bruising:
No clear bruising.

Other information:

Trying to decide if there's any possibility of them being cyanescens. Records show some found in the area, but i have a feeling they might be Tubaria furfuracea much to my disappointment. The dark stem and no blue bruising even when cut seems to be the main giveaways.

Please ID and let me know if there's any risk of trying them

Definitely no psilocybe species here. Wait for a TI if you want to know the exact species.

The mushrooms in the fifth photo look a lot like Gymnopilus purpuratus. Do you have any more photos of those? A clear photo of the underside perhaps would help a TI.

Check this out An overview of how to find Psilocybin Mushrooms

Gymnopilus wouldn't be too bad if it was.

I'll send some through tomorrow, thanks!

Here are those photos. Tried to get spore, underside and gill shots, see what you think
