If you can I.D. this pls let me know so I can eat them (while they are still fresh) if they are Grey Knights or other safe, edible.
Found yesterday growing in pine needles in pine forest near Oberon/Jenolan (west of Blue Mountains, inland from Sydney)

They just might be what you assume, at least they look similar to T. terreum. When that is said, you should provide some more information on habitat, and preferably also in situ shots. In any case it is not an easy task to identify Tricholoma species from pictures alone, they are quite variable in appearance.
Also, you should probably refrain from eating T. terreum even if you get a safe id, since they have been discovered to contain toxins that might cause a disease named rhabdomyolysis which can lead to kidney damage. This apparently also goes for Tricholoma equestre.

Just read some articles on this - only a handful of cases of poisoning worldwide in last 25 years & apparently you have to eat lots of it for consecutive days:
"In all cases, symptoms occurred after large consecutive meals (more than 500–1000 grams) of the ungi. Nieminen study suggests that a toxic dose of wild mushrooms for a human (according to studies with mice) would be 830g per day for 4 weeks, or 70g per day if body surface area constant is applied for humans and mice"
Regardless, I won't risk it!
