Hi all, One of my first finds! Pretty confident its not a sub as the color doesn’t look right and there was no bruising, but still curious if it can be identified?
Habitat: Suburban park, wood chipped garden bed with fallen eucalyptus leaves (under an unknown shrub branch under two eucalyptus trees).
Gills: Orange brown
Stem: Consistent creamy yellow, no black or blue bruising when squeezed. Approx 1-2cm wide.
Cap: Brown in the center to creamy at the periphery with some orange streaks form the outer edges.
Bruising: No color change observed
General location: Melbourne, Australia (inner south-eastern suburbs)

Thanks!

Follow my progress at my journal Edible Weeds I wouldn’t say I’m a tree-hugging hippy, but I do like to give those thick-ass trees a solid slap on their trunks as I walk by.

Thanks OOisi, appreciate it.
Also, thought I’d upload pics of my other finds from today and if they can be identified would be amazing, if not no biggy.
Species #2 Habitat: Suburban park, wood chipped garden bed with fallen eucalyptus leaves (under an unknown shrub branch under two eucalyptus trees). Cap: Red/orange General location: Melbourne, Australia (inner south-eastern suburbs)

Species #3 Habitat: Bioredevelopment area, near the Yarra river, lots of native trees and shrubs Gills: Unknown Stem: Yellow? Cap: Yellow? General location: Melbourne, Australia (inner south-eastern suburbs)

Species #4 Habitat: Bioredevelopment area, near the Yarra river, lots of native trees and shrubs Gills: Beige Stem: Cream/white Cap: Dark beige / light brown Bruising: No bruising or blueness evident General location: Melbourne, Australia (inner south-eastern suburbs)

Species #5 Habitat: Bioredevelopment area, near the Yarra river, lots of native trees and shrubs General location: Melbourne, Australia (inner south-eastern suburbs). This one had already been plucked out so it looks as though somebody has already been here and probably looks for subs before me!

All were taken from the below area (sorry I had to use Google maps i forgot to take a pic while i was there)

Thanks for any help

Thanks! I googled those and found pictures that looked fairly identical. Stinkhorns and gaestrum pectinae are weird looking things :/

Nice, i think you are right, that is pectinatum. Ive only seen Gaestrum triplex (earthstar) here around Adelaide. Never seen a stinkhorn here (unforunately or maybe fortunately).
Heres triplex:

Thanks for sharing!
I’m an Adelaidian myself ...Well, I left there years ago and moved a couple times, but grew up in the hills. I’ve noticed a *tone* of Youtube videos from shroom hunters in the Adelaide Hill’s but then that doesn’t really surprise me if you know what I mean
