Looks like myc to me. Is there a particular spot you are concerned about?

I don't see anything but myc if they're fully colonized when you took them out of the jar theres not really a risk of contamination until the mycelium grows weak after a few flushes.

I had someone tell me that it looked iffy so I was not sure if it really did lmao. I thought that maybe it was cobweb mold or something but I am just a beginner at this so I am definitely no expert in identifying contaminants hahaha. Thanks tho I am not worried about it now!!

Didn’t you just post the same question as in your last one? We told you it looked off in the other post. You also included more pics in the other post.

To me it seems like you don’t want to accept it. But as long as you’re willing to risk contaminating other cakes go on and let it flush and see what happens. We coulda been wrong. I hope it’s good for you regardless.

I mean I just recieved two comments that said it looked fine which differs from what you said soooo, thats why I asked for opinions under contamination? Ill accept it if it really is contaminated but from what was just said, it seems to be doing okay. Nothing wrong with getting other opinions.

Just trying to help ya out bud. Not trying to be a dick. Others may not be so nice about multiple posts though.
And honestly in these pics things do look fine. But in the one you had placed in water. It looked a bit slimy but that could have been just the water. Like I said in that post, I’m no tc just giving my 2 cents.

Thank you for the links, I think my problem was determining the difference between cobweb mold and mycelium. Even after looking at multiple photos I was still unsure, thats why I asked again just bc I keep overthinking it. I appreciate the help though

This hobby will teach a LOT of patience and you’ll learn plenty over time. Hell I hope you never have another contam ever but chances of that happening are pretty slim.
Once you’re comfortable enough with those cakes the next step should honestly be agar. It’s intimidating sounding but it’s super easy to do. I recently made my first agar plates and it’s no huge success but things are going good enough to make more plates and clean them up.
You’ll save a lot of time, money, and hair lol just getting into agar first because it gives you the ability to always know your spawn is clean. When you know your spawn is clean you won’t wonder where the contam came in because in that case it will always be your sterile technique that needs revised. BUT this is alllll when and if you get into agar. I apologize for coming off as confrontational in the beginning. My best wishes are sent your way.
I went from a SGFC giving me about a couple eights per cake to eventually doing bulk subs in mono tubs and getting ozs per flush in one tub. I wish I’d have went to agar before trying grains and cvg.

Oh ya after the first bad run of jars I was like damn I am going to have to increase my levels of patience if this is going to be a hobby I like that its pushing me to keep trying tho!!! Ill look into trying agar next now that sounds like a v good idea, saving money and hair is a huge plus lmao and I wont be left wondering what went wrong. For someone that stresses over getting things right, having so many variables like with pf tek in terms of where contamination can happen is not a hoot hahaha. And it is no problem you have been more than helpful thanks for the apology!
