Hi - whilst out an about today I found a couple of potential liberty cap type mushrooms- however I'm really struggling not to identify one is more brown in colour (1st pic) and the other far more orange (second pic) bot seem to have the hallmark pointy caps. Would really appreciate any help anyone can offer in a positive id...
1) more brown:

2) more orange

Oh location is UK - where its recently been warm and wet!

Looks like Panaeolus sp., definitely not Liberty caps. Some might be Cinctulus(active, but weak in terms of potency) Take spore prints of them all, make sure they are left for a long duration (around 24 hours) to get a thick print and post a picture here. Jet black (sharpie black) is what you're looking for with the sp. Cinctulus.
Edit: I'm no expert by any means, just adding , wait for more opinions. But spore print will definitely be needed.

Panaeolus papilionaceus and Galerina sp. is likely.
Welcome to the Shroomery.

Those tops are definitely one of the psychoactive pans, I'd say cinctulus.

I was thinking possible gal's from second pic as well. Should have added that to my comment I can normally tell from a gill shot, makes my stomach turn upside down

I think top ones active. Bottom ones not. They look like the active pans I use to pick when I was in America.

The mushrooms are great. The mushrooms are fine. Give me them with lashings of wine.

Which species do you think the top ones are?
I'm trying to see if there's a veil on those top ones, but the pictures are just a bit too grainy to be sure.
They could be something like P. olivaceus. I don't think they look like P. cinctulus. This genus can be tricky, though.

Thanks for all the responses folks!
Here's some more detailed images of the more brown ones:

Hopfully a spore print to follow - not taken one before but I'll check later - it could be around 24 hours since picking by then.

And the spore prints are in!
1) Original caps for reference.

2) Completed prints - in same orientation - just prints from the two larger caps on the left - one jet black and one brown...

If my understanding is correct - b;ack spore prints are a positive sign?
Again any input would be greatly appreciated!
