Rye Grain colonization times

Hi all.
I'm wondering how long rye grains typically take to start showing signs of colonization assuming injecting a spore syringe and how long it typically takes to fully colonize the jar. Using standard tek described by RR's videos. Room temp is constantly between 77 and 80 degrees and the jars get a mix of natural ambient and artificial light.
Also, do certain strains take a lot longer to start colonization? My BM took over a month to start colonization and now seems to be doing well, whereas GT seems to have started colonization in half that time.
I've wondered if it's my spore syringe having few spores. I don't think it's my grain prep as I bought a couple pre-sterilized grain jars and it's the same story with them.
Just want to know what to expect as an average time to colonization and time to full colonization once colonization has started, assuming a spore syringe. I don't need people to say that I should be using agar as it's just not really helpful (and I'm already working on it).
While I'm at it, how long does it take for growth start to show on agar? My plates have nothing so far and it's been 7 days.
Thanks!

Be patient, it could be 2 weeks and more before you see something on plates from syringe. So when inoculating grain jars with syringe, noone could really tell you how fast things will go on. It´s russian roulette anyway, but you know that. So just be patient

Thanks Goatrider. Point well taken. I'll try to relax and be patient.
Another question though. What about variability of time to initial colonization between jars that were prepped at the same time with the same method as the others. I have a jar that is significantly lagged behind it's brother jars which are fully colonized where it's at 30% and started colonization at least a week later than the others. Contams despite looking clean?

Perhaps there's something going on in the middle, that didn't show up yet. Perhaps some jars got more shots from syringe than others. I just had the same with agar to grains, one jar was slower, but i wouldn't mind. When you want to spawn, just check that jar for smell, and if it looks good, it's alright.
