Cult is fun. I was really bored before I found cult. Now it’s a big part of my day. And I’m sure most people on here feel the same way as me. We are probably all very different people from all over the world with different lives but we all share cult in common. It’s why we are on this forum. And a big part of cult for a lot of people is research. Research can’t be done without touching the boundaries of what is considered to be the path.

I would like to point out that a well executed experiment has a hypothesis, limited variables and control. I have done several experiments as well as have innovated a few things in the hobby. But I could never have done any of that without a solid understanding of the organism and it’s needs. Following a tek and learning procedure is a critical part of attaining the understanding needed to innovate anything.

I’ve been trying no prep wbs lately and I’m surprised how well it works. Idk if it’s from the sunflower seeds that usually get skimmed out or all the grain dust but the myc always looks very different than normal overnight soak prep. Super fluffy and bright.

Also unpacked some stuff from when I moved a decade ago and found a box of stuff from high school. When I wanted to try weed I used a pipe the first couple times but it hurt and I never felt anything so I bought this bong. I’ve now had it longer than I was alive when I bought it.

Yes. That’s something I should have done in the beginning was just follow the one tek to the T and not try to do my own shit. The context of what I was talking about was from ideas that were posted and some of them didn’t actually sound completely off the wall but definitely advanced but were shut down with the “someone would have already done it” but I agree and I am still learning cult and don’t know shit, but to anyone who has a better understanding of cult and know there way around, has an idea that has not been done, it doesn’t mean it’s impossible just because no one has never done it. And that goes with anything in life for that matter. Love your work pasty btw.

Ak man for the last couple weeks I’ve been doing no prep millet and wheat and I’ve got to say it absolutely works and has made everything so much simpler. 350ml millet 150ml water touch of gypsum shaken up before water and a touch of lime in water. 1.5hours and no more than that.love it

First harvest for me, this was 800ml(almost a quart) of spawn with coco and verm 1:1:1, could have been better but im really happy about it, and have some more trays almost ready to fruit.

Wow man a credit card machine in 2000 is crazy he must’ve been serious about it.

The no prep I’ve been filling quart jars up to the 400 line with seeds then adding a half pint of water. I think it’s all the stuff that normally gets washed off that the myc likes so much. It’s been very quick and pretty looking. The no prep jars get a kinda satin or velvet look to the myc that doesn’t come across in pictures.

Yea I've noticed personally that if I leave a bit of 'slime' on my corn that the jars colonize noticeably faster. I think the myc likes the extra little bits that are easy for it to consume, it doesn't have to put out rhizo 'ropes' to get from A-B, it just goes nom nom nom and eats the bits of particle matter (seed dust) on its way from A-B, knows it's safe, and doesn't expend much energy in moving around. Same kinda thought process for why liquid innoculant works so well, it gets in those cracks!

I've actually thought about mixing in cracked corn (basically ground up corn) with my corn jars to make them more 'bulky', see if that speeds things a bit...Though I can't imagine going much faster, my most recent batch of jars was ready to spawn after 6 days from g2g.

I was thinking of doing something similar with wheat bran. My dumb ass didn't read the bag at the feed store when I was trying to get whole wheat and now I have a 50lb bag of it that I don't know what to do with.

But some fuel pellets and whip up some gourmet blocks. I think sawdust and bran is the masters mix.

It’s like pe6 but heavy on the PE side instead of the toc side like normal.

Or is that how they made me feel I can't remeber

Anyone know what these could be. Look like oyster. Got a syringe that was supposed to be bisporus and is obviously not.

First flush of my first ever grow! GT's with oat/coir, following all of BOD's teks. I accidentally let the surface of the sub dry out for the first fe wdays of colonization, causing a massive amount of side & underpins.

So, I took some advice from RR:

You can also take the substrate out of the tray and lay it on a wire rack, so all sides can fruit in the open.  As it starts to dry, simply pour water on top.

and moved my baby to a wire rack, in a larger tub. So far, so good! Hoping to avoid having a ton of aborts from the move.. we shall see!
