How many hours a week do you spend hunting for fungi?

Hows many hours do you spend looking? Do you look for strictly actives, gourmet or any fungi? Please explain. For me, I am always looking. I probably dedicate 5-8 hours a week strictly looking for either gourmet or actives. I work outside as well so I am looking then too.

In season, I spend at least two hours a day hunting, either it's for the table, the mind or for collecting and registration. I will get up with the sun, have a cup of coffee and a boiled egg, then go out and be back for lunch around noon. I will often also make a trip out in the evening, especially in July and August, when the daylight still extends well into the evenings. So at the very most, I will spend 5-6 hours in one day.

Ah I love being in the flood plains. It’s my favorite habitat. So many different mushrooms and wildlife. I have never found ovoids though in north GA. The whole flood plain that I look for them in is solid box elder maples. I can’t believe I haven’t found them there. Lots of piles of twigs but no luck.
I also wish I could hunt more. I would love to spend 20 hours a week in the woods looking but I got family nowadays. Priorities I guess haha

What's up with the top vote being "less than 1 hour" per week?
Are you folks hunting or are you not?

1-5 here, not specifically for actives or edibles. Just want to see what's around. The time does fluctuate week by week. Not the best time for me to search around right now with real life nonsense going on, but I get out when I can. I'd love to bump it up towards 5-8 or more. Maybe more time in the fall will become available.
1-5 is just a rough estimate of 'actively' hunting fungi. I mow lawns/ do landscaping work. So I could also say I hunt 30+ hours a week My eyes and mind are almost always on the fungi. Seen so many Pan. foes while mowing grass this year and past, few cint's but they're rare. A whole lot of random LBM's while mulching/ trimming hedges/ trees etc. also appear. Found a black morel a few years ago while mulching but didn't know what it was at the time.. still kicking myself for that one

I own a decent size lawn maintenance/landscaping company so I am right there with ya. You could say I look for mushrooms 50 hours a week but it’s kind of half ass looking lol.

I'm Looking No Matter Where Im At. Cubes Can Pop Up In Strange Places Down Here On The Gulf Coast & The Weather Is Almost Always Optimal. I Look For Fungi In General, But I Enjoy Hunting Actives
