Habitat: Found in pasture in colonies of 3-9, Manatee County, FL , Grows exclusively on horse poop.
Gills: light grey to dark purple gills
Stem: 2-7" tall, 3/32-1/4" diameter, white w/ faint rust, smooth with fibrous striations, solid stem (from what I can tell), thin stalk.
Cap: Diameter 3/8-2", White with a faint rust cap, smooth texture, spherical/convex shape
Spore print color: Jet black
Bruising: subtle grey blue bruising on cap only. iridescent grey bruising on stem
Other information: They smell earthy, dried specimen tastes a bit salty, I experience psychoactive visuals @ .2 Grams and weigh #214

I suspect them to be Panaeolus cyanescens, but a few replies in my grow thread brought attention to the "lack of visible bruising" and was encouraged to seek further guidance here. I'll try to go hunting tomorrow and get some better pics. Thank you for your help in advance.

So you ate them first then posted an ID request? And you experienced visuals on an inactive species?

Thank you for your help.
I did and I'm 100% sure their psychoactive. Prior to consumption I understood lookalikes with the same physical characteristics, food source, and spore print to give me nothing more than a stomach ache at the worst.
I'm not rebuking your craft, you're local and have obviously picked a toadstool or two, I just can't negate the visual. While titrating my microdose sweet spot, I went from .15 to .223 G. I got really tired after and took an hour nap, an hour post dose. I woke up to tell Alexa to stop the alarm and gathered my wits about me to face the rest of the day. While looking at my Alexa I noticed a fractal grain like swirl, it converged, reversed, and then disappeared. I have never experienced this, this was not a floater, this was not me wanting to see something.
I'm not aiming for the stars here. I am pragmatic and logical. I take lithium which potentiates effects so I'm dosing low on purpose, and furthermore I don't want visuals. Last thing I want while going though clinical is to be tasting sounds and farting colors. Lastly, while all of this is subjective, I am relaying a lived experience. I guess you can sit back and laugh at the guy smoking catnip, but something about this catnip suggests it's more than catnip if you pick up what I'm putting down.
