Are these Pan Cins? I left a water bottle in my backpack so they got a little beat up by the time I got home.

Not sure what these are but the spores are definitely jet black.

Have you ever read about habitat for cincts? Or description? These are most likely found in the woods and are coprinoids

These were found in the woods consisting of mostly oak and pine trees, and they were growing next to dead logs. This grass plane was in the small section of the woods with more sunlight and from what I have read they can grow near compost piles or well fertilize lawns. Here's another picture of the woods were I found them.

Also I would like to add that I did find some young ones that have creme colored gills. I'm still learning how to identify the various habitats.

Thanks! The last three pictures I posted look exactly like Coprinellus micaceus. But the other mushrooms that were growing in the grassy area don't have the same physical characteristics like the Coprinellus micaceus.

Cincts are 99% of the time found in poop or really nice yards

Good to know there's a small chance of finding Cints in the woods and are primarily found in poop or well maintained yards. Thanks again!

I live in the Piedmont region and I found a solitary pan cinctulus in an upscale neighborhood in the grassy section between the street and sidewalk. Very healthy well kempt grass

I have some high end communities right next to me. Looks like now I'm going to take extra long walks with my dog.
