I'm not seeing any blue bruising in the first pic. Are you sure those are pan cyan? I have no experience with pans, but I thought they stain like cubes.

anytime I see someone jumping into P.cyans I always post a link to waylitjims grow: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/5142832#5142832 there's also a whole thread specifically for pans but its a long read but probably worth it. i believe I've seen some pretty sweet martha setups in there so its worth a look. like chron said id double check in the mush id sect. just to be sure.

Asura has compiled a bunch of useful links into one place here So you want to grow Pan cyans? You should read all of them, and then read them all again, and again... don’t worry you’ll memorize it all eventually
Also if you look in asuras journal look for the entry titled “blue helix Pan cyan compendium” where he’s compiled a bunch of useful stuff from Blue Helix who’s the original master of Pan Cyans.
Like someone already said, check out the “official Panaeolus/copelandia thread” Here in the mushroom cultivation forum. Shouldn’t have to look hard it’s usually on page 1 or 2.
I can see the interest growing by the day

I appreciate all the help! And I'll definitely be doing my homework.
They don't really bruise blue from what I've noticed, exception being the cap. I get muted grey bruising on the stalk. The main identifying characteristic in which I concluded them being P. cyanescens is the anatomical shape, the fact they only colonize on horse poop, the dark gills, and the jet black spore print. Did my best to check multiple sources before consuming. The end results sided in my favor thankfully.
I'm still not for certain they're P. cyanescens, but they're psychoactive as shit. My only experience with mushrooms before this was 1G of P. cubes and that didn't touch me like the .2G dose of these.

I'm very gentle with my fruits.

Have you ever seen pans that dont bruise at all? I've never grown or seen them up close. I've had some cubes bruise less than others but always they bruise. It doesn't matter how gentle you are just the cutting the stem like those are should do it. Strange
For growing though i agree you should definitely start the spores on agar. Especially for inoculating a bag. You want it colonize quick and clean.

I'm about a month deep into this whole mycology thing man. I agree, agar is the way to go. I love, love, love the idea of taking what I want from a streak plate, but be it that I have horses and A LOT of syringes and needles on hand, I went this route.

Do you think lack of bruising could be due to handling time? I pick, clean, and start fan drying in less than an hour...

Be sure to check with the Hunting and Identification forum. Could be a few different varieties growing on your property.

I’ve read way too much in a short amount of time to remember exactly where, but I’m 99% sure I’ve seen someone say they grew cyans that didn’t bruise. Obviously if I’m even remembering correctly it’s super rare. OP, what happens when you’re not gentle with them?

I'll be sure to do that right meow considering the doubts raised here. They do bruise blue on the cap, and you can see that bruising on some of the caps of the pic I posted, it's just subtle.
Again, I appreciate the help.

caps bruise a faint grey/blue, and the stalks turn a muted iridescent grey. It's not a prominent distinctive blue.
Maybe I just have special horses?

Well I just seen you post i the identification forum... just by lack of bruising I knew there was no way they were Cyans... Iv never seen one in person but Iv seen countless grows and they bruised like no other, sometimes they’re so blue they look black.
