Please confirm if this is Leratiomyces Ceres?
    #26754518 - 06/18/20 02:35 PM (3 years, 7 months ago)

Found these in a garden bed in a public spot in South Africa. Was growing on a bed rich with woodchips.

Print more or less looked like a brownish/rust coloured cube print. No bruising on the stem. Younger caps had creamy gills, older had brownish gills.
I've already put the rusty brown spores on agar :hehehe:

A good enough reason, if you ask me.

You should make a grow log and show us how it goes.

I might do just that.

I'm still not sold that the mushroom I found is Leratiomyces Ceres, as every example I've seen on the net has a tiny bit of a white frilly/shaggy bit on the rim of the cap, but otherwise looks the same. L. Ceres does actually live here though.

Bumping because I never got confirmation of species, and I've got some leapoff on grain :pipesmoke:

VERY fun watching this run around on plates. Faster than cube myc, with arrow straight rhizomorphs. Some no pours immediately turned brown on sections, like it was barking like shiitake.
