What's not to understand? You either spawn in the monotub (search spawning), or you pour and grow. After it colonizes, you case it, let it colonize in the valleys, then set to fruiting mode.

yes here's a photo of the setup, although right now the fish tank bottom which turns into a top is taken out and instead i have a speperate piece of glass, this way i don't have to lift the whole FC every time i need to tickle my shroomies. as you can see on the photo below there is a plexi on the bottom and the tank is a bit off the endge of the table, that's because there are holes in the plexi where the tubing comes through and also holes for CO2 escape

I've always had a plastic tub FC, and I always added an aquarium air pump. I've also always gotten great results.

I've cased BRF cakes with bottom and top layers of casing mix:
7% crushed oyster shells 3% ground chicken egg shells 30% peat moss 30% vermiculite 30% water
so far so good, although i might be experiencing lack of air exchange in the chamber, need to buy a hygrometer to know for sure the level of humidity inside each chamber
the formula is working, no mold, and first 2 lushes were really thick

eishirukofuko said: Your design looks quite interesting and the use of the tank not for its intended purpose makes it more fun because it can not only keep fish but also grow mushrooms. I remember how last year I was given a small aquarium and then I did not suspect that it is possible to store not only marine life, shells and bristle worm, but also to grow flora. If I had seen your photo then, I would have immediately done the same, honestly. But jokes aside and let's talk seriously about your mushrooms. Good job, man! Keep it up!
Why didn’t anyone tell me about this some months ago?!
