Bruising cakes, what am I doing wrong? * 1
    #26752536 - 06/17/20 07:01 PM (3 years, 7 months ago)

My mycelium cakes have all started to bruise blue on top but not the sides. They have been in the SGFC now for 5 days. They were not bruised when we put them in however they just started bruising.
We mist about 4-5 times a day and fan about 6-7.

Dont mist your cakes 'too much'. Did you soaked them before birthing?

I did not dunk them to begin. I just saw a lot of mixed posts saying that you did not have to but now I am afraid they are ruined. Is there a way to rejuvenate them or peel the outside and restart? Or do I have to scrap these cakes and flush? If I continue to let them pin as is will I just have small fruit if any?

Misting directly on cakes is OK, just dont over do it. Light misting on cakes, heavy misting on the perlite!

Also trim back your tin foil, u will get better performance from the perlite.

You should definitely dunk and roll next time and throw out any tek telling you otherwise.  Just stay on this site and follow recent teks from TCs and you'll get shrooms.
