Bad boy PC to Sad boy PC

Hello all. So I’ve been around for a little minute. Been using an instant pot for about a year. Used to have one of those old style PCs that always worked great, we’re simple and cheap too as I remember. Anyway I had been looking for a bigger better PC not because my instant pot didn’t work but because I had been PCing quart by quart by quart. The process of making spawn jars stretched for days. But it always worked great. Anyway I found a 23qt pc on amazon for 160$ and jumped at it. The T-Fal 23qt PC canner. It says it has three settings 5, 10, and 15 PSI. As you can see in that picture this is the highest I’ve been able to get it. Right at or below 14 psi. Instantly I got back online and did more research and apparently it’s name is the T-Fal Saftey. Lame right. Sure I won’t kill my family in the middle of a spawn making sesh, but I can’t even get to 15. So i was just trying to get some relay on this subject and see if anyone else has had this experience, if they did anything to fix it or if I just lost 160$. I figure it’s the latter but I’ll just leave this here and see what comes back. Mush love to the lot of you.

Extend your pc times. Not sure if it has a jiggle weight or not, but if it does add some weight to it. What elevation are you at?

2hrs at 14psi might actually cut it for jars at damn near sea level. If you want extra security do 2.5hrs

I remember a temp chart - here it is https://www.hippressurecooking.com/pressure-cooker-psi-faq-the-stuff-you-didnt-think-to-ask/
The temp difference isn’t much man so 2 hr is probably good. Maybe a little more...mine stays around 17psi for 90 minutes and I feel real safe with that.

Instant pots run even lower, at like 11 or 12 psi. And is the pressure on this thing regulated by weight?
