Do any of these Panaeolus Cinctulus colonies look healthy?
    #26750293 - 06/16/20 11:11 PM (3 years, 7 months ago)

This is my 2nd go-round with trying to get a clean culture from a wild Panaeolus cinctulus that grew in my yard. There is def some obvious contam but I also see what I suppose is healthy growth.

It looks like P. cinctulus mycelium is made of these small little dense knots that sort of branch out mandelbrot-style. I'm not sure if the pic does it justice but you can see some of it around the 8 or 9 o'clock position.

There is also light fluffy whispy stuff that looks quite like mold all around it...unless I'm wrong and that could also be healthy.

Has anyone see this sp on agar before? Does this look right? Anything look clearly transferable? Much appreciated!

Looks like healthy mushroom mycelium in your dish. I'd be making several transfers to fresh plates right away since mold is already sporulating at the edges. I'd take from colonies closest to the middle of the plate. 3 and 9 o'clock looks nice.

How'd it turn out?
